Chenille specialist Globaltex and acrylic yarn supplier Regitex have teamed to offer the furniture, contract and weaving industries a source for solution-dyed acrylic chenille yarns needed to fill the vacuum created by the recent closings of some weaving mills. Regitex, based in Saint-Joseph, Quebec, has been a longstanding source of acrylic feeder yarns. It uses advanced ring spinning and open-end systems to make yarn in a variety of natural and synthetic fibers.

Globaltex, in Martinsville, Va., says it can deliver chenille yarns in as little as a week in an emergency, although its usual delivery is about three weeks. Globaltex has been a source of chenille yarns for weaving mills that supply to the furniture industry.
