AHFA supports formaldehyde standard
Upholstery Journal | April 2009
The American Home Furnishings Alliance (AHFA) favors a U.S. national standard on formaldehyde emissions from composite wood products, and that any U.S. rule should harmonize with global standards. The AHFA believes that a national approach to the issue is crucial to avoid conflicting standards between different states. Current standards for products containing formaldehyde, such as composite panel, are voluntary.
