Lacey Act postponed

Enforcements of amendments to the Lacey Act for wood furniture products have been postponed for 10 months. The Lacey Act was passed last year to combat illegal logging. Implementation of the rule will begin April 1, 2010, instead of this July.

The schedule was revised due to complexity and the degree of processing.
