Rustic and Asian influences inspire designers

Designers are embracing new takes on classic styling for this year. Popular trends include hammered, textured metals juxtaposed with simple shapes and forms crafted out of salvaged wood. The combination of an artisan look with modern styling offers a sophisticated take on rustic design.

More ethnic motifs have also been gaining popularity in an ode to Asian culture, with items featuring spicy hues of saffron, turmeric and chili. This trend offers a balance of bold color and modern stream-lined forms.
