Consumers willing to make less-practical purchases
Upholstery Journal | April 2010
Shoppers are starting to ease their focus on purchasing practically, according to a monthly survey of more than 8,000 consumers. Conducted by BigResearch, February’s survey found the intent to make a purchase in the next 90 days was up in 13 of 18 product categories. While two in five consumers still consider themselves practical purchasers, this figure has eased since February of 2009, when 50 percent asserted the same. Now, those planning to decrease overall spending are now at 30 percent.
