Soy foam
Upholstery Journal | June 2008
Several furniture companies are beginning to use soy foam and other eco-friendly materials. At the 2008 High Point Market, La–Z–Boy debuted its first soy foam seating. La–Z–Boy’s tests show that soy foam is as durable as traditional foam.
While it is as durable as its synthetic counterpart, at this time soy foam is more expensive to produce, costing consumers about $10 more per cushion.
