Consumer confidence dwindles

The Conference Board Research Center does not expect a strong summer retail season. Hitting a 30–year low, the percentage of respondents intending to vacation in the next six months plummeted. The continued weakening indicates that economic conditions have slowed further and consumers are becoming more cost conscious
